Water System Startup and Certification Update

The water system startup was a success! Coordination and prep began Friday, and we had 7 volunteers working through the weekend to get everything running.
Startup began Saturday, May 17, in cold, windy, and snowy conditions — hats off to our amazing volunteers! Their effort was vital. A hot lunch was provided by volunteers — big thanks for keeping everyone warm and fueled! Full startup was completed by Sunday afternoon.
This was truly a team effort, with special thanks to Ross for his ongoing diagnostic work to identify a suspected leak. He’s been checking the system daily — much appreciated.
We’ve observed a small, manageable leak believed to be coming from the high water tank area. We’ll continue investigating as the big snow drift melts an allows for better inspection.
All water tests have come back good, and as of May 22, Mono County Health has approved water service to begin.
Trash service at the dumpster is also starting back up.
Please remember: no construction materials, and break down your boxes so there’s room for everyone’s trash. Thanks in advance for helping keep things tidy!
