First Snow! plus Email List Signup Instructions
The first snow at Virginia Lakes this year delivered approximately 18″ – 24″ of snow as estimated by the photographer of these shots, and water company board member, Chris Rinaldi! Also, “VL road was plowed but neighborhood roads would be difficult without 4wd. Should improve with the clear warming weather predicted for the next week.” So if you’re venturing to the Virginia Lakes neighborhood in the next few days you will need a high clearance vehicle and 4 wheel drive.
In other news, and just in time for all Virginia Lakes folks to discuss road conditions and all topics Virginia Lakes – a new group email list has been started. Description and instructions posted below:

There is a new google groups email list that residents can join for general discussion of topics related to Virginia Lakes! Joining is free and email addresses are not published. You don’t need a Google account to join.

Instructions
Here’s how to join a Google Group email list using email only (no Google account sign-in required):
- Send a subscription email to virginialakes+subscribe@googlegroups.com
- Make sure to include the plus “+” sign
- The email can be blank
- Confirm your subscription
- You’ll receive an automated email from Google Groups asking you to confirm.
- Reply to that message, …just reply. There is a button on this email, ignore it. Just reply.
- Wait for approval (it might take a day)
- You’ll get a follow-up email when approved.
- Once approved
- You’ll start receiving messages sent to the group.
- Members of the list can post by emailing: virginialakes@googlegroups.com
- Your email address will not be published to the list
- You can unsubscribe anytime by emailing: virginialakes+unsubscribe@googlegroups.com
- Instructions to unsubscribe are included in every message received from the list
