Bear Trap on Tamarack

A bear trap has been placed on Tamarack by California Fish & Wildlife.

Please maintain basic bear safety precautions throughout the Virginia Lakes area. Do not leave food, coolers, pet food, scented items, or trash outside or in vehicles. Be sure all garbage is cleared from cabins and lots and taken to the dumpster promptly.

Residents and guests should avoid the trap area and keep children and pets away from it. Do not approach, touch, or interfere with the trap. If you see bear activity in the area, use caution and notify the appropriate authorities.
