Since 2009, we’ve made significant strides in upgrading our water infrastructure. Out of the 12,000 feet (2.27 miles) of pipe in our system, 11,200 feet have been replaced—an impressive 89%. Had we completed lower Tamarack, that figure would rise to 97%. Remaining areas slated for future replacement include lower Tamarack, upper Lodge Pole, and a small section on east Tip Top.

Monthly water sampling continues to ensure the high quality of Virginia Lakes water, known to be among the cleanest in Mono County. For years Ross Oswald has been regularly submitting samples to Mono County offices and recently trained Eric, Brian, Judy, Darlene, and Chris in the sampling and submission process. Routine testing helps us meet public health standards and maintain confidence in our system.
