Bear Activity on Lodgepole

Unfortunately, a bear broke into a trailer on Lodgepole last night, tearing off the bottom half of the door. No one was inside at the time.

Please be especially careful to secure all food, trash, coolers, pet food, and other scented items. Make sure doors and windows are firmly closed and locked whenever a cabin or trailer is unoccupied. Bear activity continues to be a concern throughout the Virginia Lakes area.

Please report all bear sightings so the community can stay informed and appropriate agencies can track activity in the area.
