Bear activity continues and the last trash pickup 11/5

Bears are still active around Virginia Lakes, and it looks like cabin damage is continuing. Our neighbor, Niel, checked on cabins for damage and signs that a bear may have gotten inside. Thanks for looking out for your neighbors, Niel!

With fewer folks visiting this time of year, damage can easily go unnoticed. If you see signs of a break-in or damage to a cabin, please let the owner know or report what you saw so repairs can be made before the snow falls.

The last trash pickup of the year is tomorrow, Thursday, November 5. As usual, the dumpster will stay at Virginia Lakes all winter. Starting tomorrow, please use it as sparingly as possible. Service will resume sometime next spring, weather permitting, and it could be six months before the dumpster is emptied again.
